From May, Josja Zijlstra and Ruud Esser will be the new directors of the publishing company Uitgeefhuis Nieuw Amsterdam. Both have come from the parent company Novamedia, where Ruud Esser was CFO and Josja Zijlstra Managing Director Media.

Ruud Esser (68), the current CFO of Novamedia, has said that from 1 May 2016 he wishes to semi-retire after 27 years with Novamedia, 11 of which were as CFO. Simone van Bijsterveldt, currently Managing Director Media with the Publishers portfolio has been appointed CFO at Novamedia and the Charity Lotteries in the Netherlands, effective from 1 May. Josja Zijlstra is chair of Novamedia’s three media Managing Directors, together with Sandor Brouwer and Petra Lubbers.
