Imme Rog has been appointed CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) on the Board of Novamedia, effective as of 1 June 2018. This appointment extends the Board, consisting of Boudewijn Poelmann (CEO), Simone van Bijsterveldt (CFO) and Sigrid van Aken (COO), to four members. Novamedia, a social enterprise, contributes to a better world through charity lotteries (Dutch Postcode Lottery, BankGiro Lottery, FriendsLottery) and media and publishing activities.

“We would like to congratulate Imme on this step and we are very pleased with her arrival at Novamedia,” says Boudewijn Poelmann. “Imme has worked for our Charity Lotteries for a long time, and has spent the last nine years as managing director. She more than proved her worth in this capacity. She brings enormous knowledge and experience to the Board of Novamedia, from which the online bookshop BookSpot, the Scheltema book store and the Nieuw Amsterdam publishing house will also benefit. We look forward to working with her further on fulfilling the dreams and ambitions of our organisations.”

Imme Rog: “In recent years, Novamedia has expanded considerably with the addition of BookSpot and Scheltema, and publishers. Furthermore, Novamedia has set up a Postcode Lottery in Germany and we will soon be starting in Norway. In the last years, I have become very familiar with Novamedia’s ambitious, enterprising approach aimed at making the world a better place to live in, and it appeals to me a lot. I am especially looking forward to continuing my work on achieving this mission with all my passionate colleagues.”

Imme Rog
After graduating in Dutch language and literature at the University of Amsterdam, Imme Rog began her career in television as an account manager at NOB/Dutchview. In 2000, she moved to the Charity Lotteries, where she became managing director in 2009. As managing director, she saw an opportunity to achieve annual growth in a highly competitive gaming market. In 2017, the income from the sale of lottery tickets amounted to €982 Million, half of which – €491 Million – was donated to many charities. With her emphasis on innovation, efficiency and attention to the entire marketing mix, she won the title ‘Marketer of the Year’ in 2011. In addition to her work for the lotteries, from 2014 to 2018 Imme Rog was a board member of SIRE, Stichting Ideële Reclame, of which she was chair for the last three years.
